The unique expertise of MARVA’s staff is shared with other professionals in the field through seminars, training days, and special educational opportunities that reach other lawyers, doctors, social workers, directors of nursing homes, community workers, and others. Through these programs, MARVA staff raise awareness for the complexity of issues surrounding elder rights and the rights of people with disabilities, and advocate for more professional collaboration in order to increase access to vital services and supports and to protect their legal rights.
